Hello, my name is Greg Thornton.  I opened proVelo after spending 22 years in the bicycle industry as a salesperson, inventory manager, shop manager, and 14 of those years as a sales representative for GT, Raleigh, and Diamondback Bicycles.  In 2004 I left behind my life as a sales rep to be closer to my family and community with the intention of opening my own shop.  After spending time managing other shops and leaving the industry for a year I realized how important cycling was to me and I wanted help others discover the passion for cycling that I have.  So while it took a few years to execute I felt now was the right time for a shop like proVelo in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado. Working with over 100 different bike shops I have seen the best and the worst of what a bike shop can be and drawing from these experiences my goal is to deliver a bike shop experience that exceeds your expectations.

From the moment you enter our store you will see the difference.  The showroom is open and inviting; the staff is friendly and the product mix will keep you up at night yearning for a new ride.  I chose a staff of friendly, knowledgeable individuals that are here to serve you from start to finish and will provide a personalized experience tailored to your needs each and every time you are in the store.  And, as for the product?  I believe it speaks for itself with brands like Specialized, Giant, Santa Cruz, Yeti, and Ibis.  If we can't find you the bike that's perfect for you, we aren't looking hard enough.
