Cannondale's SuperSix EVO 5 105 is ready to take all your road rides to the next level, whether you want to go further, faster, or just have more fun. Narrow down and top tubes provide an aerodynamic advantage, while the lightweight Ballistec carbon maximizes strength and stiffness for increased efficiency. Pair that with a dialed women's specific geometry, and the Evo is one of the quickest, most-responsive bikes you'll ever ride. The FSA crankset and 11-speed Shimano 105 components shift like a dream, with all the gears you need to conquer every climb. Shimano's RS11 wheels are light, fast, and sticky in the corners thanks to Schwalbe's stellar Lugano tires. Dressed up with a choice selection of Cannondale's own high-quality aluminum parts and a supportive Prologo saddle, this bike is ready to go the distance.
For increased stiffness and improved steering precision, a tapered head tube (see image on left) and fork pair an oversize lower steerer tube (usually 1 1/2-inch, see image on right) with a standard diameter upper steerer tube (usually 1 1/8-inch). This combination sheds weight compared to a straight 1 1/2-inch system, and adds stability and stiffness when compared to a straight 1 1/8-inch system. The result is a bike that tracks better through corners while allowing for the use of standard stems.
